Cobweb (2023)

Good morning, House of Madness residents:

According to children, "Eat your vegetables!", "Clean your room!", "Do your homework!", "Get that damn finger outta your nose!" are just a few of the basic unfair obscenities hurled at them on a weekly, if not daily basis. In some households the love feels lost as the screaming and yelling of chores and imperfections overshadow the feelings of want and acceptance that once thrived between the walls of the family dwelling. Too often the negativity spewed at children is absolutely unwarranted, and the parent should take a long look in the mirror before casting their judgments and anguished disappointment at anyone but themselves. Are some kids dicks? Of course, and I'm not stupid enough to suggest that their numbers are falsely portrayed as few, while they all secretly congregate behind one of the specifically built Circle K's for the purpose of hosting their evil meetings. No, I'm not saying that at all; although those Circle K stores do seem to be going up in droves in my neighbourhood......alas, often times behind an evil willed child lies an evil parent, and for a young boy in this story, revenge will be served.

Evil kids can be the creepiest form of horror if the story is done properly with well cast child actors like "The Innocents", or they can just come across as annoying little shits as is the case with "There's Something Wrong With the Children". Either way, kids play a vital role in horror, as their unpredictable behaviour and unknown capabilities often make them an underestimated adversary. In "Cobweb", a young boy who hears voices in his head decides he's had enough, and unleashes them on his unsuspecting abusive parents. Sounds like they should have just given him dessert even though he didn't finish his broccoli, and now they have to PAY.

"Cobweb" is currently in post-production, and is slated for release some time in 2023; bring your kids, at least that way you'll know what they're up to.......
