Good morning, House of Madness residents:
In today's society, it's almost impossible to start your day or end your evening without social media it seems. Whether you're perusing through profiles on Facebook, searching through pictures on Instagram, or just spending mindless hours watching TikTok after TikTok, many of our daily minutes are consumed by one social media platform or another, and have become part of our daily routine whether we like it or not.
"Dear David" focuses on a man named Adam, (Augustus Prew), a comic artist who is battling sleep paralysis, not to mention antagonizing internet trolls that are making life miserable for him. In order to help cope, Adam begins chronicling his experiences in an online chain of tweets, and unwittingly attracts what he believes to be the spirit of a dead child named David. As the two communicate, Adam slowly begins to lose his grip on reality, and begins to struggle deciphering between what is real, and what is online. Is Adam losing his mind, or is he actually able to communicate with the dead, and if so, what do they want with him?
"Dear David" hits theatres October 13th, 2023, and you can check out the trailer here.
