Five Nights at Freddy's

Good morning, House of Madness residents:

How many times have you watched a film and thought to yourself "I wish that could have been a little tamer"? Zero? Ok, what about wishing that the film had a little less gore, and a bit more plot? Still zero. Hmmm. Ok, what about if a film dialed it down a notch, so you could enjoy the horrific festivities with your children? Now we're cookin'! If you go back and read my review of the film "Willy's Wonderland", you'll find great similarities between that film and this one, with the one exception being that "WW" has an 18+ rating, vs the PG-13 required to view the film in question.

Before all you youngins come for my jugular, yes, I'm aware that "Five Nights at Freddy's" has been around longer than the aforementioned "Willys Wonderland" as a franchise, but don't blame me that it got beat to the punch as a feature film. Both films revolve around mechanical animals that seem to be alive, and someone needs to take them down before the bloodshed gets completely out of control. It's a concept so great that I'm willing to try it twice, albeit the second time in a tempered down fashion compared to the over-the-top Cage flick in which our hero speaks exactly zero words.

"Five Nights at Freddy's" hits theatres Oct 27th, 2023, and you can check out the trailer here. Let's hope it's more fun than a drug induced spree at Chuck E. Cheese!
