Mirror, Mirror (Another HoM original short story)

Good afternoon, House of Madness beauties:

Do you ever wonder what happens to those smug people that think they're better than everyone else? Perhaps they need to be taught a lesson, and a tough one at that. As always, I hope you enjoy, and thanks for reading!

Mirror, Mirror

Anna opened her eyes and there was nothing but darkness. As she slowly started getting her bearings back, she realized her hands were tied behind her back, and she was in the trunk of a moving vehicle. "HELP!!! HELP!!!!" she screamed into the darkness, yet she could almost feel the vehicle accelerate with each plea for freedom. The last thing Anna remembered was being at the bar with her friends, and talking to a handsome stranger as she asked the bartender for another rye and ginger. Had he spiked her drink and grabbed her? It seemed unlikely, as to Anna it would have been impossible to pull off such a feat in a bar packed with people, yet here she was, and it mattered little how she got in this situation compared to how the fuck she planned on getting out of it.

Once Anna realized screaming was going to be of little help, she started feeling around the trunk for something to help her wriggle out of her restraints, but they were bound tight. How much time did she have, and if she did manage to get her hands free, what then? Anna remembered from movies and TV shows that there's usually a handle or a latch you can pull on that serves as a trunk release, but at the speed she guessed they were traveling at currently, jumping out of the trunk would certainly lead to death, and isn't that what she was desperately trying to avoid? As her thoughts raced and her hands swelled, the vehicle began to slow, and it almost sounded as if they were now driving in a tunnel. The vehicle came to a stop, and Anna could hear her abductor's feet hit the ground as he got out of the driver's seat and headed towards the trunk. As the lid lifted, instead of the handsome stranger from the bar she was expecting to see, Anna was greeted by a horribly disfigured man, who made the cast from "The Hills Have Eyes" look like an ensemble from "Beverly Hills 90210". This time when she tried to scream, all that came out was a high pitched wheeze which was barely audible, but the mutation in front of her enjoyed it immensely as he almost seemed to snort her fear like a line of cocaine. "Welcome home" he said, and Anna once again delved deep into unconsciousness.

The next time Anna opened her eyes, she found herself tied to a chair, and realized the tunnel she assumed they had been driving through was in fact a cave. As panic once again set in, Anna looked from left to right in search of her abductor, but could only see skulls mounted like trophies filling the walls which surrounded her. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT!?" she screamed into the dimly lit cavern, and although she wasn't really expecting a response, she definitely didn't expect what she heard next; boots ran quickly behind her and then he was directly in back of her chair, again snorting as if he were trying to catch her words before they evaporated and were wasted forever. This time when he came around to look at her, he resembled the handsome stranger she remembered from the bar, but he still wasn't quite right, and part of his face almost seemed melted like wax on a candle, yet it seemed to be ever so slowly forming like a child's play-doh creation coming to life. "PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" Anna yelled, and the orgasmic sensation that seemed to take over his mind as he snorted her words once more was enough to make her vomit onto her shoes. "Oh, I don't want to hurt you", he said, I want to help you" and he motioned towards her face.

As Anna reached up and felt her face, she realized that what she originally saw when she looked at her abductor was happening to her, and she began to weep uncontrollably. "You see, Anna, all those years you spent staring at yourself in the mirror and ignoring those you deemed unworthy of your beauty came with a price, and now it's time you must pay." the stranger said. "What do you mean!" Anna shrieked, "I'm a good person!". "Is that so?" the stranger asked the darkness, "Then you shouldn't mind not being beautiful, as long as you still have your life, correct?" "PLEASE, PLEASE!!" Anna begged once more, and after her words were consumed by the stranger, she looked at him one last time and saw he was now her, looking directly back as if through a mirror, and as she gargled horrified sobs, the stranger turned to walk away, but before he did, he said "You were never a good person, Anna, but soon you will be. Wish me luck!", and the stranger walked back to the car, laughing maniacally, as Anna's face melted into her hands.
